Think I have to pull the trans, it is making bad noises. Pump is toasted I think.

Well, something else I did was lower the rear down with some shorter, ruffstuff shackles I had. The ride height looks good now, but the shackle angle is a little much, about 45*-50* O well, I will try it out and see how it works.

l for sure like low, i am wider then i am tall.... but at my wheelbase its difficult no matter what...127-128 inches is alot to overcome and a limiting factor. with 42 or 44 in tires its much easier to move around then with 35's and not tear the terrain up...took me a bit to not use the skinny pedel too much, but not too long because the bigger tires bust shit too fast. the side benefit after some time i noticed, i could actually tread much lighter with the bigger tires..

at least to the point where your busting through whatever terrain your on anyway.

with some reserved driving, i am expecting you will notice this as well.

box up the back so you have a usable bed and that thing will be very useful.

My shackles were at an angle like that since I first did my SAS, they rode decent and flexed very well. I wouldn't worry about it.

I am happy with it, just need to move my trac bar to get more up travel, I am about 2" right now in the front, I can gain about 2 more inches if I move it infront of the diff.

I have 19" belly clearance, need to measure to the top of the cab to compare with others too figure how much lift I have.

Not really worried about ride quality, be that may change down the road. As far as the tranny, it was a used unit I got for trade for some old mustang parts. O-well, but I would like to figure out why. The pan is stock, new filter with orginal pick up. I think the pump just went bad.

Ok, started investigating the trans issues. It is making a grinding noise while the engine is running, first thought it was the pump, now not so sure. I pulled the starter looking for rub marks, there are a couple but they look old

Then I looked inside and saw a little rub mark on the converter

Then I looked inside and saw this

Now I know the starter didn't do that, the hole wasn't there originally that I know of, looks fresh to me. I don't see anything else out of place, but even with the starter out while running it still grinds.

next I took a mirror and looked inside the bellhousing and saw some rub marks on the back of the converter. So decided to pull the trans hoping to find something in the bell housing, and i did...

I lost that ****er when I was bolting my motor mounts and I didn't have the starter in yet. Well, found it now. It was brand new too lol

Good news is the trans is quiet now and it didnt do any serious damage. Guess I can move on with the rest of my to-do list.
