Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

Alright, I wanna make the back of my truck more flexy. I have chevy 63's with extended shackles, no overload, 3 leaf pack. It used to flex way better, but since I put the air shocks in the front it's a lot softer than the old TTB set up and doesn't force the back to flex like it used too. So what are my options? Repack with less leafs or add in some ranger leafs? I was also thinking about inboarding my spings, the tire would add more leverage on the spring and it would flex better too. IDK, what can I do??

AT the same time, I am gonna lower it another 1" or 2".

Bummer, seems like they never do.

I might have to go try the other one in Holland or something.

Thanks for looking

With the 63's did you cut/trim the little bracket the holds the springs in line? Also if you removed your overload, how is your axle wrap?

No, I didn't cut them. Stock form minus over load. I don't get any axle wrap that I can tell, maybe on pavment if I try and do a burnie

Trim that bracket. On my 63's the bracket did two things..kept the springs lined up (good) but the bracket wrapped around and over the top of the leafs (bad for flex). When the spring droops on flex the brakcet holds the leafs together, does not allow the springs to seperate between each other. Decreasing flex. I noticed a big difference. Just trim the tabs that over lap the top spring, but not the side the sides so it still keeps them in line. Make any sense lol.

These?

Yep trim the overlap on that top spring, makes a huge difference.

It might help, but with how flexy your front is you might have a hard time getting the rear to flex short of 4 link etc...and you can be to flexy.

If it gets to flexy in the rear, he will need sway bars to help with body roll

I don't think I am too flexy. I bet cutting those tabs off will fix me right up.

Alright, I know this came up before, but I am back at looking at adaptors and wheel spacers. I have a 6 lug up front and 5 lug in the rear. I don't want custom parts and I was thinking about adaptors to go to 6 lug in the rear to keep a factory axle. the adaptor is 2" thick so i would have to get some spacers for the front too......go for it or no???

I ran adapters to go 5x4.5 to 5x5.5 and never gasve me any issues.

Get them for the rear and see how it sits before getting any for the front. What's your rear pattern?
