Found 'Destroy's' '06' article on throttle cable mod the other day, where you put ty-wraps on the throttle cable at the pedal. needed to put on two to take up the slack. The difference is fantastic, it's like doing a tune up on my rig. Throttle response is crisp, better power at take off and down shifting. and much better power at highway speeds. For a simple quick fix it's well worth checking out. would never had thought of checking this for a problem.

TRS and 'destroy' are awesome!

I have never had this issue before and neither has any of my friends. I read that artical some time back. As long as it works and you are happy...that's what it is all about!!!

It's not "more power", it's just relocating the pedal... but yes it could change the "feel" of things a bit as your foot doesn't have to push as far...

Could be more power if WOT is now achieved with the fix?

yeah, maybe up to 5% but it wouldn't be noticeable until probably 3500rpm, on most engines you get 90% of the power by 75% throttle. At work we make engines for forklifts, cranes and a bunch of other random stuff and we run a 5.7L engine off of a 60mm throttle and limit that to 80% to give better throttle control, and it doesn't limit power at our max speed of 2600rpm...
