Koda's Zx2.

Basically you get in, and when you turn the key they roll back and sorta put themselves on you. There's a lap belt that you have to put on too IIRC. We had those in our old blue escort and when my mother wrecked it the top part cracked her skull. Damn car got near 50mpg, too bad I didn't know enough to fix it when it was wrecked.

Nailed a racoon sunday night. A big one.

I was going to drop by the insurance office today but I figured with a 500 dollar deductable I'd be better off fixing it myself. I need a new bumper and passengers side splash guards, maybe more I haven't looked yet. I'll probably have to drill out the bolts for the splash guard and then I'll be all set. If I get the bumper and splash guards when the bumpers on sale I can get it for 25 tops for all three parts. When it's not on sale 55. Or I can take a chace and go on the "All you can carry" day and spend 10 and get tons of extra junk.

I know how you feel, once I get my sister's I got some body work to do, luckally I have a certifit in the city, they're pretty cheap, go to there website see if there's one close by

I'm just going to hit the junkyard. It's 40 miles away and I can grab some stuff from sears while I'm in the area.

Starting to really hate having a car. Way too small for fishin. I'd like to get a new pole but the one I want wont fit too good in the car. I could fold the seats down, but I would end up shutting the passengers door on it and ruining it.

I definitely can't wait to be back behind the wheel of a truck. I took my car "mudding" the other day though. Although it was more me driving down a light trail to get to a good fishing hole than mudding.

Nice I love pre-Focus Zetecs. Especially the ZX2 which has the pre-SVT VCT Zetec. Nice find:icon_thumby:

Hey koda, I may have a chance to trade a 99 sedan auto with 90,XXXmi and a few extra benjamins for an black auto 99 zx2, almost like yours, with 123,XXXmi.

What I want to know is it worth it, since its under sports car for insurance, and that a pretty penny price increase, is it zippy enough even tho its auto?

here's the post on craigslist

That stop sign or red light bit sounds like my IAC problem, I'd avoid it since that's a costly fix and throws trouble codes.

I'd stick with the lower mileage car. Looking through the JY most of the zx2's are in there at 140k or less, but the regular escort sedans (assuming that's what you have) have 180-200k on them. Something to do with the SOHC engine vs DOHC is my guess.

How tall are you? That's another thing to consider. I'm 6 foot and there is no such thing as comfortable in this car. Your sedan probably get's better gas mileage too.

6'2"+ but I dont have much room in the sedan either and any gas mileage better than my truck is great, im looking for some more umph than the sedan

Well this cars screwed.

Either the transmission went, or something else that effects it went. I couldn't do more than 15 uphill today on my way home from my girlfriends, it just suddenly stopped working with no warning at all. Needless to say it was towed home, but moved under it's own power into my parking spot. My girlfriends father says it might be a modulator valve.

Anyway, I don't have the money to mess around with the car right now. It already needs 150+ in order to run right and I should probably change the plugs and wires and all that since it's almost at 100k and they're still factory. I'll see if I can have it all fixed up by the first snow, if not I'll be buying a pair of snow tires for the Ranger and attempting to drive that this winter. I still owe $2,000 on this car and I can't make that back by selling it as is, so I might as well try to fix it up a bit and drive it in the winter if I can.

Try a junkyard for a temporary replacement.

If you want a USB style radio, I am sure Cody and I can throw something together in terms of a 15 or 20GB HD that can be installed in the car for storage of Music.

I'm just going to drive the truck. Insurance will be cheaper, and I miss it. Although it will probably cost me more to drive with the oil and gas leaking (filler neck leaks) but I can patch the pan and only fill the tank halfway until I get the gas leak fixed.

As for the HD that's too much memory for me. I have more than enough music on my little 4g micro drive I picked up from hong kong. I think it's post #134 or something that I have a picture of it in.
