also, your amp has as 25amp fuse, make sure your wiring kit has a 25 or even a 20 amp fuse in it.

actually the weak point would be the 8ga wire, if it shorts out it will get very hot and melt if your fuse is too big for the wire.

id definetly go with at least 4ga if you plan on going bigger down the line. even if you dont bigger wire has less resistance per foot which equals less wasted voltage from battery to amp.

i know it seems like a extra money you have to spend by buying a wiring kit with a larger capacity. but for the non ebayers they can get expensive if you have to keep upgrading. not to mentiong the slight pita factor of re running your wiring. so what i did was, i ran a 0 gage wiring kit, ( but 2 or 4 may be big enuff for you) so no matter your set up you will always have a big enuff wiring kit. i also got a bunch of different size fuses, from like 40amps to 120 amps. that way when your system changes you just have to change the fuse. not every wire
