KC HiLiTES 6" Round Apollo Pro Driving Lights

The daylighters are the only non-LED driving lights in their lineup that are legal according to KC, and project a true driving beam vs. a spread or spot.

Not if they have the 100 watt bulbs.

I bought a different brand that was road legal. Maybe Hella? They came with an aiming guide. They work just fine. They are halogen. As a matter of courtesy I turn them off in traffic.

Proper aiming is very important, both for you and for others on the road. I was very surprised how far off my fog lights were on the 2011. After I did the pre-2008 lift, I checked the aim of the lights and the fog lights were WAY low. Road illumination was so much better after that when I used them.

Very good point. I aimed mine according to specs on my garage door. Now all I need to do to check is just turn them on when I pull into the driveway. And if you're not sure exactly, just turn on your regular street legal truck low beams. The hot spots of the fog lights should be slightly lower. Those KC Hilites are no doubt very similar to mine. I dare say they will probably work as street legal if mounted inside of the headlights and at the same height or slightly lower. My set came with an electrical relay which come on and off with the high beams. I felt that was just too much so I just have a separate control, a push button mounted on the dash near the radio. I bought halogen. It was old school like my truck and on sale. Visibility is great. We drive through woodland roads in the darkest of night. We can see deer and wildlife easily. That's why we have them.

Yes. Looks familiar. I made a small light bar with some brackets. I've never really liked bull bars. They are expensive and break the naturally good lines of the Ranger grill.
