KBB can't help. What should be asking price for 1988 Ford Ranger XLT?

That truck would be $1,000-$1,200 around here. I'd keep looking, I think that's too much.

Yea...$1500 is all I would pay for it if it runs great and needs nothing. Not liking that banged up tailgate....lol. I bought my 93 4x4 Ranger last year with 60,000 original miles on it from a one owner for $2,900. Small lift and 31 inch tires. You got to look around and don't pick the first one you see. I always take my time when I go car buying. Take your time, Bro!!!

I sold this for $3,000 about 10 months ago. It's a 96 XLT, 4X4, 4.0, and it had about 119,000 miles on it.

That asking price is almost 3 times the fair market value of that truck if it was in show-room condition.

Vehicle Description **EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS**

It looks like a solid little truck, way overpriced though...

I am really curious how they got driver and passenger side airbags in it. :icon_twisted:

the listed description also says it has a passenger air bag... i would avoid it at all costs

yep ..... move on. not worth it.... an 88 is a $1000 truck

2995$ and no cassette player, screw that!

Ya I agree with everyone else.

Mismatch tires, paint fade, banged up tailgate, crappy interior, Engine is filthy. I would pay anything for that truck. Sorry didn't see in the ad where is this. Is it a "buy here, pay here" lot.

I sent a message calling him on that. Haven't gotten a response yet.

My first Ranger was like that one for the most part and I paid $450.00 Way more out there for the money.
