hey DG did you ever replace the trans filter? or any of you? if ya did how do i get to it and how big a job is it?
oh and i want those slicks![]()
You remove the transmission pan. All the fluid will start spilling over the edges as you unbolt it, and there's about 4 quarts in there. It's pretty easy, but it's a very messy job. Make sure you have a very wide catch pan, and lay lots of cardboard down underneath it for good measure. As soon as you get the pan off, the filter is right there. It's held in with 1 bolt.
