STREETROD005-3.jpg

AAAAAAAAAAAAAhaaaaa.... 1st prob.....errrrr....challenge...the frame brackets don't fit...it's hard to see in the photo, but the bracket doens't sit level with the frame..........where's my chop-saw & tape measure & Dr.Pepper from Sonic??????????

STREETROD012-2.jpg

Prob.....errrr...challenge MET.......................modified bracket on left in pic....I removed the "tang" that did nothing but serve as a back-stop for other vehicle installations....

STREETROD009-1.jpg

it's hard to see in this photo--the motorcycle jack is in the way....but the modded bracket is holdong the receiver level now......

STREETROD011.jpg

O.K. I'm going back to modify the other bracket....then I'll use the motorcyle jack to hold everything in place whilst i mark the spots where the bolt holes need to be drilled.......

be back shortly....or a little longer......

O.K. I'm back 3pm.......the driver's side bracket is in place and wellllldedddd (couldn't do all the bolt holes...rear frame crossmember was in the way...anyhow--this is how it went....removed 4 screws from aluminum diamondplate to acces frame from bed....

STREETROD014.jpg

thennnnnnnnn.....removed two planks to access top of bracket.........and welded top of bracket to frame 5"weld....

STREETROD015-1.jpg

gotta go do the passenger's side...be back later.....................

O.K.......about 5pm.......the passengers side is did (but no pics since it was a repeat of driver's side)....the hitch is level & almost centered....LOL

Damn, now I needs me some dr. Pepper

I added 2 moar pics to the thread.......

That reminds me.................

I'm gonna take my dogs & my (tell em what they've won, Don Pardo !)

NEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Trailerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Hitchhhhh

over to Sonic & i'm gonna drink Dr.Peppers until I pass out.....

EDIT: O.K........I sobered up.....removed the rear Aux. radiator...installing it was a brillant idea---but like the guys said--the waterpump just wasn't strong enuff to push thru 24 feet (round trip) of 2" firehose & a second radiator (a elec. booster pump wouldhave helped, but they wear out too fast)

The solution to the problem was to mount another cheby 350 in the bed to help with the water flow issue. :D

If he could find room to tie another water pump into the accessory belt he could run it in series with his current pump and double the fluid pumping power. People do it in computer water cooling loops all the time.

Problem is, theres no more room under the hood of the truck anymore.

I'm gonna go to my favo-rite PikaPart shopping center and get a dual lectric fan....it's taken a year to figure that one out (a single large fan won't fit between the waterpump shaft and the railiator...at all)....

and the truck only starts running hot in the city traffik....

best bet for a fan is a VW golf dual fan. has one motor and a belt, that runs the second fan. Have it on a 96 Chevy 350 and it runs as cool as the ocean breeze.

By the way, nice work!

now dg, can i get some of whatever your smoking/poping? id love to see the world how you see it! hahah

Skewerellllllll.......O.K.

smoke.............only outta my ears when i think about Con-gress....

popping...................... sorry--the V.A. sayed they cut me off if i gave them away....

EDIT: by the way....i found oneof those c.f.m. formulas....the lectric fans need to move 2,100 c.f.m or more to keep the tree-fitty cool.....apparrotly those V.W. fans do dat!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the info-men...................

Maybe they will blow enough air there will be extra to blow AC air to the cooling cup holders.
