Thanks....posting at 3a.m...............you couldn't sleep?

Sleep? :icon_confused:

Oh yeah, I remember that.

Man, I got busy late summer, and I just got the projects done a week or so ago. So I'm still trying to catch up on things I needed to get done before winter got here. (There are still sweet potatoes to dig and don't even ask about the new BII project...)

The Mrs. plays viola for the Indianapolis Philharmonic, a couple different theaters and a couple groups, so she's not usually home til near 11pm. Then we have supper, clean up the mess, and I try to catch up on email and what not till I fall over.

Cracked a rib last week, so laying down isn't all that fun, anyway.

Guess I'll sleep when I'm done.:nopityA:

You know, I've seen all the pictures but wondered, what about the wheels and tires... I don't know if you have got to that portion of the build yet but I think a style like these would look amazing.

I will say, after reading everything it's weird to have read through almost 5 years and all the changes that have happened. But at the same time it's pretty cool to look back and see where it's all come from, some for the better, some some for the worst, I think by now you can make a book out of this!

bEEN THERE.....then I got a bad cough along with the broken rib....hang in there BRO'.

I was saving the wheels and tire for the last project....(I STILL haven't put in the headliner YET :bawling: .:bawling: As for the book, I have amnesia from the Warrrrrrrrrrr! I guess I need to re-edit it from the beginning and throw in some flashbacks from the Viet Nam war that I have been having since I started the thread.

Did I ever tell you about the time a U.S. helicopter crashed and burned full of women and children refugees? NO? Well brace yourself---the next day we were given empty potato sacks and dropped off at the burn-site. The women and children were either charred to ashes or literally BarBQ'ed. When we tried to pull their bodies from the wreckage. the cooked flesh pulled from their bones and their arms/legs pulled from their bodies. The ground was still so hot that the rubber soles of our jungle boots started melting until it looked like we were wearing clown-shoes. I could not walk for two days after that because my feet nerves were damaged. I couldn't eat southern BBQ for 5 years after I returned home....everybody would say "BUT YoU LOVE BBQ"....I never told them why I couldn't eat it.

The things that 20 year-olds get to see in combat! I still get teary-eyed 40 years later thinking about those women and children.

Still want me to write a book....... :icon_surprised:

I heard about that from my Grandpa, he flew the C-47's in vietnam, and went on rescue missions to save them. But, even grim sharing experiences is a part of history, and when people don't learn about the past, history will repeat itself. Yeah, you should have the wheels and tires then have a celebration when you put them on marking the finished project. :D
As for the book, I guess it would be more of a instruction manual on how to turn a 89 ranger into a 36 ranger thing. Heck, this is a digital book already, with reader input, which makes it even better!

M.W. ................................GOOD POINT(S).

I always said....."If mothers knew the truth---They'd never let their sons go to war."

I know a fellow that was in WWII and I love to hear about his war stories, he was out there after the Japs bomb PH, and gave them a beating, he was in the Navy, and on one of the big ships.

I had a friend that was in the Korean war, he was in the Navy also, but he was in a tin can under the water, we use to sit and watch old war movies and the one about the sub, in one part, he would point and say "that's where I slept, right there under those torpedoes" , I would laugh every time, and he would go and tell me the same stories that he told me before.

Well............I am never one to abuse a warranty claim......but I am having a problem.......

I am now on my 3rd $100-each Mal-Wart radio in 4 years!

Good thang that I took out the $7 extended warrant on each of them....

The first one got to where it wouldn't change channels.....

The 2nd one got so hot even the press-buttons were hot;;;;\\\\

The third one......the speakers quit playing.......

Now the return clerk just rolls her eyes when she checks the warranty usage on the computer when issuing me another radio.....

:icon_rofl:
