doorgunner i just realized something. your driverside header will no clear the steering box or the frame. i tried on mine and it hits. pass. side is fine. just a little heads up

:icon_surprised: new blade on bandsaw--check.

new roll of welding wire--check. :icon_welder: blackwidow---you got a picture of it hitting the frame for me to look at before i start the incision on the header? Wait for the snow to melt though

nah, motors not in right now. im i mean i was detailing it before wonderful ny hit me with snow. 10-fo

no problem. I'll take pic.s of mine when i set it in place & any mods. i have to make to the exhaust---besides, the weather channel just said ya'll (you all/you guys) are gonna get another 6 to 12" of snow:icon_surprised:

yeah im gonna make my own exhaust too. flowmaster has a build it yourself kit from jegs with 2.5 piping for like 250.00. so ill use that with moroso spiral flow mufflers. should sound beastly.

10-fo:icon_hornsup:. :icon_idea: Point the headers out under the front bumper & blast thesnow outta the way goin down the road in March

Just taking some notes: :icon_pepsi:

bobbywalter said the gm p/s pump can be used by adapting the hose fittings to the Ranger steering box;

the Ranger radiator will work, but an up-grade to a Summit radiator would be better;

Ranger or GM throttle cable can be adapted to fit carb.:icon_hornsup:. :icon_pepsi:

baddad said: Don't worry bout where everybody else drilled holes-- set the motor/xmsn in place & center the m otor between the fender edges(not the frame-rail edges) low & as far to the rear as possible. Then center the xmsn tailshaft pointed at the pinion shaft. Take a marker & mark where the m. mount studs contact the crossmember(& where xmsn cross-brace needs to be re-located if necessary). Lift the eng./xmsn back out of the truck. Drill all needed holes 1/2" below marks & bolt engine mounts in place on the crossmember. Then put 7/16" by 2" long studs in engine block mounting holes(held in place w/locknuts) to make engine installation easier.

right, i have a radiator from an old 1957 ford with a 312, im gonna try to use that, if not, im going to the spring carlisle show in carlisle pa in april so ill pick one up there. using a gm p/s pump adapted. and gonna try to use stock ranger throttle cable, if not, one from lokar will be ordered. still looking for headers that will work currently. also, snow hasnt melted yet so work is at a halt. stinkin 15 inches of snow :icon_surprised: so probably this weekend will atleast try to do some work.

High 5 to the Mod that merged the threads for blackwidow67 & me!
