. Not being a rocket scientist, I'm guessing it's to compensate for a driver & a tank of gas 
(you could always add a spacer under the driver's side coil spring & left rear axle spring-pack to avoid the lop-sided look when you're sitting in the truck, instead of off-setting the engine/xmsn combo). Or don't worry bout it at all.(that's enuff little critters

..... Maybe the Moderator (if it ain't too complicated & it's o.k. with you) could merge both our V-8 threads into this thread to save space & keep it simple.
Maybe we can continue the tradition of bobbywalter & chvlfrk & others who did detailed threads on their projects. However, I do think my part of this thread is gonna look more like Dumb, or possibly Dumber a-a-a-ah i've fallen down agin & laughin too hard to get up
