just plain stupid, doing a sbc swap w/blackwidow

What? the Ranger? the Ford dist.? the 350sbc? the 1/2" drill? Probably the engine stand!:icon_surprised:

Bump (so they'll know what we're talkin about)......

yeah im hoping to have the engine out tomorrowso i can start to fab up the brackets for the CHEVY 350 lol.

Show us some pics of what you come up with--I've been lookin at brackets the other guys have made. My 2.9 in my Ranger was 1" offcenter to the passenger's side:icon_confused:. Not being a rocket scientist, I'm guessing it's to compensate for a driver & a tank of gas :icon_idea:(you could always add a spacer under the driver's side coil spring & left rear axle spring-pack to avoid the lop-sided look when you're sitting in the truck, instead of off-setting the engine/xmsn combo). Or don't worry bout it at all.(that's enuff little critters:annoyed:)

not another 302 swap, but a sbc swap with doorgunner

ok i started a thread on putting a sb 350 into a ranger. well this thread is to post how im doing it along with pictures to help out those who want to put a sbc in there ranger, along with the help of doorgunner. so as of today. i now have the original dead 2.3 and tk4 trans ripped out. im going to remove the front rad support to aid in the install of the 350, should have done it before pulling the engine. i will post pics later. i will keep everyone updated

Blackwidow---As long as no one takes us seriously, we be O.K.:icon_rofl: ..... :icon_idea:Maybe the Moderator (if it ain't too complicated & it's o.k. with you) could merge both our V-8 threads into this thread to save space & keep it simple.

Looks good:headbang: Maybe we can continue the tradition of bobbywalter & chvlfrk & others who did detailed threads on their projects. However, I do think my part of this thread is gonna look more like Dumb, or possibly Dumber:icon_rofl: a-a-a-ah i've fallen down agin & laughin too hard to get up

I'll be watching like my life depends on it. Ok I'm not that interested but I'll be watching.

Capt Jay, a Ford man in whom there is no guile--look on the bright side--if i set the engine in place & get under it to install the headers & put em on facing the wrong way, it would cost u $8+popcrn+large:icon_pepsi: to get that kind of entertainment. blackwidow---didyou think about merging both our v-8 threads into this one (if the Mod. will do it)? I'm gettin kinda dizzy goin betweeeen the 3 of em:icon_surprised:
