I was dubious about EcoBoost when it first came out but experience with the concept made me a believer. My 16 Escape has a 2.0 Ecoboost with 280 hp that averaged 27.3mpg on a round trip to McLean,Va with horrible traffic and an 80 mph cruising speed. We had several customers with 3.5 EcoBoost F150's that said they towed better and had more power than their previous V8s with better mileage as a bonus, our sales manager used an EcoBoost F150 for a demo and got mid 20's for mileage constantly. We had no internal engine problems with them at all and a very few turbo failures at mileages over 150k. The worst, most common problem was a vacuum pump failure which was caused by the master cylinder leaking fluid into the booster which then got sucked into the pump- so not the pump's fault. I can't think of anything polite to say about a Nissan truck so I'll just shut up now.
