Just a Reminder

Yes, you guys are always willing to help, even the noobs. Over on the Nissan Forum, they assume there are no noobs, and kinda ignore the questions that get asked by the noobs. they may get a "Did you check the other Nissan Forums first?" and I'm like " NO, I checked this one first, it's why I'm asking the damn question" It seems to me that this forum is all about helping and getting help from real mechanics, or engineers, , or assembly plant workers, or Fry cooks who really know Fords, over there, it seems that there are No Nissan mechanics, just guys who wrench on anything. No purity over there either, they will slap anything that fits onto their rigs, Chevy wheels and Ball joints, Ford Rear ends, Toyota parts for 5 lug conversions, it's really all over the place there. And nobody seems to know "What from what will fit my truck, as in other Nissan parts from other vehicles that will work on my vehicle, NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW SHYT, but they know what Chevy part you can use. It's really aggravating, coming from here, where you can find out what alternative parts can be used, to going there and basically figuring things out as I go. It's also in the OLD format that was once used here, so it's kinda hard to post pics> I try to treat that one like this one, but no one cares over there.

Thats exactly how that one polaris forum i joined was.

I asked a question and all i got was a link to a tech article about the front hubs. I clearly explained i had done all that and the response i got was....

"Well, guess thats too bad".

That would of NEVER happend here.

At 50 years old, I highly doubt I would be considered a spring chicken.
70 here...more like an ole buzzard. Definitely an ole fogie. But still like to go n play with the vehicles, specially the Ranger.
Old enough to know, but wise enough to ask for help when I don't.

You all are right , this place spoils us. This was the first Ranger Forum that popped up when I was looking for one, got lucky I guess, since that Nissan Forum was the first one that popped up, I figured "winner", but NO, and I have come to the conclusion that TRS is the BEST truck Forum out there. Hell, I have even gotten help on my lawn mower on this site, and other NON Ford issues have been settled here for me.

This forum as well as the Broncoiicorral.com has been awesome. I only wish I knew about this before I sold my 84 Ford Ranger several years ago. A simple Duraspark conversion would have kept that truck in my driveway, it had the dang feedback carb issues and computer issues that ultimately at the time had me stumped and couldn't afford to dump money into it all the time, so I let it go...sadly that truck was in excellent condition body and interior, dual fuel tanks, basic XL model, it pulled a 14' travel trailer all over the country for my grandparents from 84 to 89 when they bought a new larger trailer and as a result a new pickup (1988 F250 4x4 460, which is still running its never had to be torn into for anything).

The tech section is awesome on TRS and Broncoiicorral...course the Ranger/Bronco 2 pretty much share the same traits for drivetrain mostly anyhow. Broncoiicorral isn't quite as busy as this forum but great to follow both since I own a Bronco 2.

Because of TRS its saved me and cost me a lot of money LOL. Simple easy stuff I can do at home I find information on the forum to guide me, that dang engine replacement and transmission rebuild though those were the wallet grabbers...nothing major just stock replacement engine and stock A4LD rebuild with all updates & upgrades.

I think many members of the forum have had an RBV, or several for many years and know so much more than can easily be shared....I believe several members on here are also Ford certified mechanics, they know their way around these vehicles, its amazing how much knowledge is on this forum, and not just Bronco 2's and Rangers, I mean vehicles in general...I swear this forum alone could be an ASE course in itself LOL. Not sure what I'd do without TRS and Broncoiicorral (also a TRS sub-forum).

Jim and the moderators have and do an awesome job with this forum, I'm not sure who started and works on the Tech sections of this forum but whoever it is you guys rock...I've never seen another forum with a tech section like TRS. If you can dream of it or have an issue most likely its in the tech section already LOL, if not the members on this forum I swear are geniuses they can figure anything out to get anything done on an RBV it seems...and there's so many heads in this forum you'll get all sorts of ideas, thoughts, cautions, suggestions, etc.

This forum should be nominated for Website of the century, without it myself and many others would probably have crushed their RBV's several times over, thrown tools across the shop (OK fine some of us do that anyhow), but I have yet to find a better well built forum anywhere else....I swear TRS is like a 2nd home, although I know just about nothing overall about RBV's its so interesting to read and follow what others are doing, have done, or plan to do.

Still better then an EB

Yet to be proven. So far, the engines aren't doing a repeat of the 80's where engines and turbos were failing left and right. I'm still inclined to think a force fed engine isn't going to be as reliable as a naturally aspirated one. Maybe they finally figured everything out and they will hold up just as well as or better than what we've had to this point.
