Jumps in and out of gear

1989 xlt 4x4 auto (a4ld) 2.9. recently while going up a small rise upon acceleration the trans jumps in and out of gear usually between 35 and 45 mph need some advice before I contact trans shop. trans rebuilt approx 2.5 years ago. Thanks
