Jim, whatever to happened to TRS Bumper...

See how it slides back in between the frame? There are (2) slotted holes on the inside of the frame rail for your front bumper mounts. Once they're removed, the bumper slides in to place and (4) grade 8 1/2" bolts (2 on each side) go straight through the frame rail and in to the 1/4" side plates of the bumper. No brackets.

If you drill a new hole 2-inches below the lower hole in the side of my bumper, you can move it up 2-inches and probably adjust it a little higher due to the factory slots to compensate for a body lift.

I think this one turned out way better than the one I have for my truck now.

I need a truck to mock one up on.

I could bring mine over Saturday still if you want to take measurements. I would think an '03 would be close enough to the '04? I would love a custom bumper, but not sure I would want to stick that far out in front. Hmmmm

I don't think it sticks out all that far. Just enough to have room to hold a winch.

That bumper was designed to be able to hold a winch, keep it up out of the crap, and to have a good approach angle.

I'll be up in Mentor Saturday. I'm taking my dog up to my parents so they can watch him while I'm on vacation. Leaving for vacation Monday night.

Looks good. I built mine so that it was in tighter to the truck, the winch fits right between the frame rails so it doesn't block the grille at all.

Something I have found to be a problem with my Duff bumper... Approach angle is severely limited on obstacles that are tall and steep. Even exiting holes can be a problem. I'm planning on eventually reworking mine so the winch actually recesses into the grill opening. The Rangers nose sticks out far enough as it is without hanging a winch out another foot.

I've went up ledges and even dropped straight off of one where I should have nosed in and flipped over, but never had a problem with this design.

The whole thing only sticks out 8-inches at the most from the front of the truck.

Also, I've used this truck as a daily driver and have driven plenty of highway miles. Never had an issue with the radiator not getting enough air, and I actually use a Warn XD900i that has a large piece across the top that would block more air then the style most people use.

I've got the same winch. Works great! Fast and strong. I put 125' of 3/8" plasma on mine. Light, floats and extremely strong. I've seen the 5/16 plasma break on several of my buddies pulls and it just falls to the ground. 0 recoil.

I can't say I've ever had a cooling issue either. At least not one that was winch related. Long, hard, slow pulls up a steep hill with an auto cranks some heat though!

i was wondering if you could maybe get a build diagram for that bumper. i would be willing to pay for them. and how did you bend those pipes. thanks for any info.

If you'd start building some that will fit my 98 and charge $350 I'd jump on it in a heartbeat.
