Jeep coils...need a spring compressor?

how was your toe and caster, that has alot to do with it. did u have a sway bar? i think thats gonna be the helping factor in my setup, i like to keep mine on since i got a newborn that rides in the b2. offroad i pull my pins and its disco'd. ill also be making a hill strap like 4x4junkie

and with the steering not letting the front come back down sounds like toe change. a small change will be exagerated by the softer springs. the whole thing is the toe changing and the tires point to each other on take off and it jacks the suspension, on stopping the opposite happens

ahhh sway bars might do it for ya...

my b2 hasn't seen sway bars in years...

and i'm positive my cast camber and toe is all off. but its a work in progress

You might run into steering issues, don't be so sure till you get it all in there. The stock linkage sucks for softer than RBV coils. You might luck out though if your linkage is completely flat, but don't hold me to it.

And I'm guessing you might need a spring compressor with stock length radius arms.

Best thing to do is find out the exact amount your pitman arm drops down compared to the stock arm. If it matches exactly the amount your axle brackets drop the axle down, you should be good with the steering.

I've seen the XJ coils rated at 150PPI myself, but they just don't add up. 6" lift 237PPI coils are 22" inches free length... how can a 6.5" 150PPI coil be 21" free? It would have to be more like 24-25". I suspect in reality they are in the low-mid 200s like most are, otherwise they wouldn't get the amount of lift claimed (not to mention it would be all floppy going down the road).

how is an xj lighter? i mean yea unibody, but most are 4 dr. they have the inline 6, which isnt but about 150lbs lighter then a 350, more unsprung weight.

your not comparing apples to apples either. same springs on a RBV with TTB suspension vs a solid axled jeep

u have to remember these springs will only give me about 3" of lift over stock

so its confirmed, 4" xj springs get a b2 around 3" of lift?
