Jeep Build.....

Needs a manual tranny if you ask me. Thats one thing I need, a CB radio but my todo list is so long I dont know where to continue.

looking good. kind of reminds me of your old BII.

A manual transmission will never go in this. After wheeling today with an auto, I won't have a manual in a wheeler. The auto holds better than any clutch will.

This XJ is a ton more capable than my BII ever though about being.

I hit up a local private off road place call Back Woods. It was a nice ride with my brother (blue TJ) and a friend of ours (red TJ). I definitely learned the limitations of my XJ.

This thing flexs like crazy. I haven't had another vehicle that had as much wheel travel without doing some kind of modification to the lift kit.

This was right off the bat. The second trail we go down I try to roll the XJ. Needless to say it was interesting.

A couple movies.

The only problems I had was I pinched a small hole in one of my side walls, and my transfer case shifter needs some work.

sweet pics......this makes me really wanna go find a cherokee to build

i think your buddies need to invest in some bead locks

Yea, he is going to have beadlocks put on those wheels. This is the first time he has ever rolled a bead on those wheels.

ok its offical my g.f wants a jeep i have to find her one and build it. i love these things.

...

Its good that you got that out of your system right away :icon_rofl:

Watch those rear windows, they like to "pop" without much provocation. Thanks for sharing the pics!

xj's are very capable rigs with a little work, i wouldnt mind having another

It defiantly is a capable rig.

If the rear windows come out, I am going to replace them with plexi-glass.

i've almost bought an xj several times... only way i could afford a jeep! lol

Good to see you're out wheelin' it already! Hell, you don't even need a long arm kit with the way that thing flexes.

I still would like to get it in the future, but it definitely moved down on my "To-Do List" and lockers moved up.

I yanked the carpet out this weekend and found a couple of holes in the floor I need to fix. I am planning on bed lining the floor.
