Hello everyone I have a 1994 Ford ranger 2.3 with the i4. Everywhere here in new Mexico is telling me the only cylinder heads they have for this truck are cracked. The head I removed from my truck is cracked as well and I'd like to get my truck on the road. Does anyone have a spare 2.3l head lying around or know of any out of state (other than new Mexico) where I might be able to find some? I've been calling everywhere Google will help me find even some places in Texas. As popular as these trucks are I didn't think it would be so hard to find this piece. Thanks in advance!

Might be worth seeing if you can order one from a parts store too. They usually sell new ones.

I had to get a rebuilt head from autozone, both my original (1994 2.3) and a junkyard part were cracked bad around the valve seats. The dual plug head just doesnt have enough iron to deal with the thermal cycling over 20+ years.
Not sure how well it can be seen in the photos but every white mark is a crack. If you do get a used head, its worth the $ to get it magnafluxed for cracks. Plus with a remanufactured head you get : new cam bearings, valves/seats/seals.
