Not sure what's up with all the obvious pictures of pictures thing, but he turbo'd a 2.9. The cooling system is probably full of Barr's or liquid glass trying to hide the cracked heads. That would explain the price.

Anybody have pictures of James Pringle's old truck? He's the only guy I can remember doing a turbo 2.9 that's been discussed on any of the forums.

Looks FAKE. to me it doesn't look like the turbo pics are of the blue ranger. and then there's a pic in the other listing that has a sunroof. Clrearly the blue ranger doeas NOT have a sunroof (moonRoof???)

It's definitely fake, I'm just curious where the engine photos came from.

Is it even a 2.9?

Its a horrid pic of a horrid pic but I kinda wonder if it is a 2.3T. Alternator and throttle body placement is correct as is the angle of the upper radiator hose. Aftermarket intake and the rest of it is custom down to the coil laying on top of the turbo.

I think you're right.

Wow. Thanks. I don't get the point of someone doing this.

Believe it or not there are people out there that will fall for this crap. Wife's uncle sent 4,000 to someone in New York saying they had a mint low mileage mustang cobra and was selling because of a divorce. Needless to say they got 4 grand and the car never went off the market and no return phone call.

Oh, it's an RBV engine bay alright. Probably even that truck.

Please send $X and my good buddy Mo will collect the rest when he delivers it to you.

But Mo never shows, you are out your money and they are off scott free.

Doesn't really look like the same kind of a theme. The truck is like minty perfect, engine bay isn't so much.

And it wouldn't have had a 2.3 from the factory so the trans would have to be swapped too. Usually people don't go from a 2.9 to a 2.3T especially in a Supercab 4x4.

It is a somewhat later engine bay with the plastic brake fluid reservoir though (I think '86-'88)
