So I was swapping out the radio in my 91 ranger and I accidentally touched two wires I believe the constant power and a ground for less than a second. Immediately the dome light went out and I have no power going to the constant or ignition wires. I checked the fuses but they all tested good. What the hell did I do. Is there an inline fuse somewhere that I don't see. I'd really like some help :icon_confused:

Do these look like Factory wires?
If so there would be no inline fuse.

Engine fuse box would the best place to look for constant power fuses.
There is one 60amp fuse that powers ignition switch

Is the Ground wire still a good ground?

What are the wire colors?

This page has 1991 Ranger power distribution with wire colors

All wires from dashboard are stock. They were all butt connectors to a very old aftermarket head unit so I was upgrading. I'm pretty sure the light green and yellow touched the black. I'm also confused about he thick red wire that's supposed to be a ground as well but I'd like to get my dome light and radio working again. Everything else works besides the two power wires in the dash for the radio and the dome light

So from the diagram it's saying the dome and radio go through the same power line. Light green and yellow from the fuse box. #1. But it that fuse is still good. I'm boned.

Did you pull the fuse out and look at it?

Sounds to me like you blew the fuse.
