Insurance Co. Idiots

My daughter was in an accident 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The insurance company finally got around to sending out their adjuster to look at it. Well he calls and says with the drivers side damage the car would most likely be totaled. I tried to tell him there was no damage on the drivers side. After he argues with me for a while, I go in town to the bodyshop to find he was looking at the wrong car. My daughter has a red Taurus, he was looking at a Dodge, blue one at that.

They said they could get the write up on it in a couple of days. I said it's already been 2 wks., whats a couple more days.

Actually it's the other ladies insurance company. I don't have the paper work in front of me right now, and i don't remember who it is. I do remember i have never heard of them before.

thats about as bad as when i bought a '85 jeep cj7 in '89. the bank must have got the wrong vin number and kept sending me notices that i needed to insure my 2-1/2 ton chevy dump truck. dad actully drove my jeep to the bank to prove it wasnt a 2-1/2 ton chevy dump truck.

My insurance company had an adjuster on the site within three days and they paid me out within a week...I'd say change companies...and maybe let them know why...or maybe not...they can be really bad sometimes...hope you get a decent price for the damage and get on with it...

It Turns out the lady has MetLife ins. They finally got the quote done. The car is not totalled but it was close, 3300.00 to repair it.

I am going to go over it with a fine tooth comb when they get it done. Anything wrong and they'll hear about it.
