Seems alot like a election, no “good “ choice, just the “least worse” option.

Looking at going to Erie at the first of the year. Anyone have any experience
Erie doesn’t like paying claims and if they do, expect to be immediately dropped
I wonder if I could get a discount if I built a metal building over and around my house…

Just build a metal building over and around the trees.
Name it "Rick's Arboretum", form yourself as a non-profit tree museum, and hit the county up for a tax break to boot.
Remember this?
They took all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em
You'll be filthy rich in no time, I tell you!
State Farm had me try that GPS thing that plugs into your OBD port. After a trail period, it would have been a certain amount of money per month for the service. Because of the hours I drive, mostly the drive to work time was the issue, the cost of the service would have only just been negated by the savings of being a good driver (in their eyes) and would have not resulted in any additional premiums savings to make them worthwhile and deal with them micromanaging my every move behind the wheel. So, I got rid of it.
They wanted me to do that too, but there was no place to plug it in on the 88 town car
@Jim Oaks
Another afterthought, coincidentally I just filed my paperwork away and I took a peek. I took a high deductible, $5000, on my roof which lowered the premium considerably. If I have 100 or 200 ft.² that gets damaged, that’s pretty easy to fix. I just need the catestrophic coverage in case the whole thing gets blown away.
Also, don’t you qualify for USAA? Isn’t that the veteran to prevent insurance? I always heard that was the best deal for a veteran.
Why are you making fun of my age?
The only thing I own that one of those things would plug into is my 2000 Rangers. One of those hasn’t driven in over 10 years and the other, well, no, we aren’t putting one of those in there…They wanted me to do that too, but there was no place to plug it in on the 88 town car
