Hope you have good insulation.

Where is that at?

In my living room and the state of Kansas, North East Kansas to be specific.

Looks like a nice living room, like the racks.

That said, glad its not anywhere near me. I hate the cold and get to start walking to school again Monday.

not that cold yet here but it's on it's way. I keep my house at 68 though, so a slightly smaller dT.

It's very rare we get this cold. According to the news its the coldest it's been since 1996. It'll be interesting to see the end of January and early February, that's usually the coldest part of the year here.

Pryor, OK

Thanks for the update. I'm about to leave for work here in OKC, OK @ 230AM. After driving in so many times, I find the coldest part of the day to be around before sunrise. Currently its 10*F on the WeatherBug gagdet. Probably be colder in the Ranger once I get her started.

MAN... HEAT WAVE!!!! nights have been -10's to -20's here for a couple weeks now. days lucky to get to +9! to me, you're having shorts and t-shirt weather!

i know right!! heck gets up in the 30s can get the windows down in the truck

Say that again when your nuts freeze off. Anything below 20*F and I just don't care anymore because its too dang cold to think about it when outside.

9*F this morning in the Ranger when I left the house at 0230. 10*F when I left work @ 0945. So dang cold, the temp gauge went never got into the operating temp range. Needle sat just a hair above "C". Guess I will need to cover up the grill some.

Yesterday at noon in the Peg, it was -25C (-13F) ambient, -38C (-36.4F) with the windchill.

On tuesday it's supposed to go up to 1C (33.8F) so I'm really looking forward to that. I think I'll wear shorts and t-shirt that day!

Yeah, same here. My thermostat is directly below the return vent so as soon as the warm air makes it back to the return from the outer reaches of the house, it turns off. It gets warmer while the heater is on in farther places like the bedroom, but gets colder before it comes back on.

I bought a programmable thermostat last year and in the winter I have it set at 68 while we're at home and awake, 64 while we're asleep, and 62 while we're at work. Between that and a new water heater, my gas bills have dropped by $30-$40 a month, despite having a significantly colder winter so far.

We must have had similar upbringing, I dont know anyone else that keeps their house below 70 in the winter.
