Inside - outside Temperature

MAN... HEAT WAVE!!!! nights have been -10's to -20's here for a couple weeks now. days lucky to get to +9! to me, you're having shorts and t-shirt weather!

Yea we shall see, it was suppose to get down to -7 last night but it only got down to 0

Tonight it is suppose to get down to -15 I guess we shall see.

Yeah, same here. My thermostat is directly below the return vent so as soon as the warm air makes it back to the return from the outer reaches of the house, it turns off. It gets warmer while the heater is on in farther places like the bedroom, but gets colder before it comes back on.

I bought a programmable thermostat last year and in the winter I have it set at 68 while we're at home and awake, 64 while we're asleep, and 62 while we're at work. Between that and a new water heater, my gas bills have dropped by $30-$40 a month, despite having a significantly colder winter so far.

We must have had similar upbringing, I dont know anyone else that keeps their house below 70 in the winter.

keep my thermostat set at 60*. coming in from the outside, well below zero to the single digits tops, it feels downright balmy in the house. :D

I had a 94 degree difference from inside my house vs outside this morning. Inside was 75 and outside was -19.

Supposed to get up into the 40's this weekend.

i live in central FL and we've actually had icicles on the fountain at my school 3 out of the 5 days this week. needless to say that is extremely rare here. today was 51*. felt awesome after all those 30s. some places here had it down to the 20s.

We have had lows around 18 to 20 degrees with winds all week and last night it snowed, froze overnight and today iced roads everywhere.I went out to my first call, had the e-250 sideways and called it a day.

I have had a blast watching the Atlanta ice follies all day on the news, funny as hell.

Supposed to be around 20* for a high today here...

This house stays right at 70* with a tiny heat pump keeping a 2000 sf Ranch warm... and part of the ceiling isn't completed yet in it....

We're waiting on the pump for the boiler, then the radiant heat will be working.

Oh, yea, we have a house built out of these....

I live upstairs at my brother's house. When it's windy and -35, the room is at 38 degrees :annoyed: . I have very little insulation in the roof and the house is 50+ years old.

Lets just say, the soda stays colder on my floor than in the fridge..................................

Lucky for me, I have one of those remote controlled 4-quartz heaters that'll heat my room up to 55-60 within an hour and a half.

( -9 ) Degrees

Ok this shit is getting ridiculous, I left the water trickling tonight don't want to have frozen pipes!! It hasn't been this cold in Kansas in 20 years!!!

3rd morning in the single digits. Hopefully, after I fix a friends car in the cold. It will warm enough for me to go shooting.

if i leave any faucet drip, chances are it will freeze in the pipe going to my septic tank, then there i'd be, outside in the cold and snow trying to thaw it out! :bawling:
