I'm sure I got a short.

Oh yeah by the way.
The piece of sheet metal that was rivvited covering the I.C.M. on the appliance guy's 94 Ranger is now on my brother Andy's trailer waiting to go to the scrapyard.

I agree @Curious Hound.

To be honest I fill broke right now.

I got 2 bills that are due on Monday that equal $220.00.
Right this minute I have a total of
$38.72 in my pocket.

Then on the 29th I have another bill for another $145.00.

Then there's the fact that I will get a bill from the gas company somewhere between now and the end of the month.

And as I already said right now I got $38.72 in my pocket.

I truly do feel broke.
I understand. I’ve been in that exact spot.

Honestly broke is half the reason some of us are here. Rangers are stupid cheap compared to most vehicles, if you can work on them yourself. There is a post somewhere with the math of my truck. With the lift kit and all the mods I'm up to $30 a month into it over 14 years and 2 complete drivetrains. Where else you gonna get a 4x4 pickup for $30 a month?

I got no data on my phone right now so I'm now at My brother Larry's house using his wi-fi.

I've not been able to go back and try to work on the appliance guy's truck.

I've been trying to read and understand my EVTM to help me figure out why his truck is not getting no spark at the coil.
Can someone please tell me what a few abbreviations stand for.
Pin #4 on the ignition control module has the abbreviation " IDM " I don't know what that one stands for.
Pin #6 on the ignition control module has the abbreviation " PIP " I don't know what that one stands for either.
Can someone please enlighten me?

I've determined that my truck for sure needs a transmission. Either a different good transmission or the transmission that's in it rebuilt.

So when I got out of prison last year,
1 of my brothers gave me a Ford Thunderbird. I don't know what year it is. I'm thinking it's between a 198? and a 199?.
I've only seen the car 2 times and I've not tryed to start it or anything.
It has some body damage a long with being a snow belt vehicle and from my understanding it was parked because it need brakes.

However from what I also understand it runs and drives very good.

It has a 302 in it with an automatic transmission with overdrive.
It's sitting at the brothers house that gave it to me.
I'm thinking about going over there in the next couple of days and making some notes on what all it really needs and what it don't need.
And most likely take some pictures of it.
Finding out what year it is, is on top of the list.

I bring this up to ask this:
If I have the whole car the wiring harness everything that it needs to run and drive.
And I have my whole truck how hard is it to put the V8 and transmission out of the Thunderbird into my truck.

I'm sure I will need some moneys to do this.
Would I have to cut out some of the firewall and or some of the floor as well?
I'm pretty sure I would have to change a lot of wiring.

Or would it be more feasible to put a little bit of money into the car I.E. the brakes to get it where it's safe to drive and then sell it for a few hundred dollars.
Hopefully more then I would get at the junkyard for it.
( I hate taking vehicles to the junkyard that have good motors and transmissions in them. )

Once again I'm out of data so I don't know when I will get to check for replying posts or to post myself.

I really do appreciate all the help and encouragement I get from everyone.
Thanks everyone.

It's doable. But there a non-stock parts that you must have to make it work. I'm fairly sure an oil filter relocation kit in the very least.

I'd try to get the car going and sell it for the money to do your transmission.

Thank you for your input @SenorNoob .

That's what I've been thinking would be the best course of action as well.

Now can anyone please tell me what IDM & PIP stand for?
Thanks.

Injector driver module - controls timing and duration of injector operation.

Profile ignition Pickup - the hall effect sensor in the distributor that provides cam position and engine speed to the ECU

Thank you very much @Curious Hound for answering my question.

I can always count on my family here at TheRangerStation.

I'm planning on going over to my brothers house that the t-bird is at on Monday or Tuesday.
I will take some pictures of the t-bird along with make a list of what it will take to make it driveable.

Thanks everyone.

Well I was not able to go over and look at the T-BIRD yesterday or today.
My brother who's house it is at had to go out of town and I don't want his nosy neighbor causing any problems.

I've also been so busy I've not been able to go back and try anything else on the

My fat fingers keep posting things before I'm ready to post them.

Back to what I was writing before my fat finger posted this.

I've also been so busy I've not been able to go back and try anything else on the appliance guys 94 Ranger. I'm hoping to be able to do that in the near future as well.

I'd like to hear feedback on this next idea.
I talk about so much different stuff than I do my Ranger in this thread what does everybody else think about me starting a thread about me just talking about stuff that I talked about?

All feedback as well.
Thanks once again to everyone.

I got a notification saying I won a Trophy.

Now I'm at a lost.
I don't know why I would have won a Trophy.
Or what I did to earned it.

I don't even know what the Trophy is.
I'm thinking it's the star that's now in my " Supporting Member " banner.

Either way thanks everyone.

I've still not been able to go look at the T-BIRD my brother's still out of town.
And I've been to busy to try anything else on the appliance guy's truck.

I'll do my best to keep everyone updated.

Once again thanks everyone.

You don’t have high enough security clearance for that information. Just be happy.

Lol @Curious Hound
I think I figured it out.

I won the Trophy for being the biggest dumby on TheRangerStation.
