Had an incident at work with a guy. Long story short. He's an ex cop arrested me before. He tried to get me fired he also got himself fired. He's mad about it. He's pressing charges on me for Idk what yet. Neighbor said the cops have been here every day looking for me. I'm always gone when they show up.

Some friends said to ignore them. If they can't serve me then I don't have to go to court.

I disagree, I'm pretty sure it'll just end up as a warrant for my arrest on a failure to show up at court.

I mean the charges won't simply just go away?

Jim? Any one?

They can mail a summons to your address. Worse case scenario, call the courthouse and see if there is a warrant

Tried calling before. They ALWAYS make us come in so they can arrest you on the spot if there is one. Just thought it was odd that there has been a sheriff here 7 days in a row. Never has paper inhibitors hand. They even went to my old job to find me.

It would depend on what "he" is pressing charges on, legal or civil.

For civil there are these rules of serving "paper"

In Ada County(boise) there is this to check legal arrest warrants

If legal it could just turn into a "bench warrant", which means they are no longer "looking for you", but next time a cop asks for your ID and calls it in the warrant will show up and you "most likely" will be arrested on the spot, again it depends on what the charge is.

Well have you done anything wrong recently?

I havent done any thing. Don't know how many of you have made primers but its a fast pace environment. We got behind on packaging. So I let the guy help me. He started saying you suck your slow blah blah. After 5 minutes we ended up shoving each other around.

Our team leads decided to not get the super visor involved. And seperated us. He didn't like that went and told the supervisor and we both got fired. Because there is a 0 tolerance policy for violence. From what I've heard he's claiming I threw some stuff at him and is pressing charges on that. The only thing any one at work saw was him slam me into the machine behind me.

I have not done any thing wrong, but I fear this may escelate into something bigger.

From the sounds of it, he might be out trying to press charges against you for him losing the job. He is probably going after some sort of payment for comprehension for it. As for the police looking for you, either A. your buddy is pulling strings on the police force he was once on. B. They are looking for you to serve a court appearance or ask you questions on your side of the story.

Either way how this turns out, something smells rotten about this.

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pusueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

I have a buddy on the police force around here. He said this verse was actually used in the Academy training to illustrate how to get a first indication of a person's guilt or innocence.

It doesn't sound like you're guilty of anything, but with the police having a hard time contacting you it may give the impression that you're hiding. Just cut to the chase and see what the deal is. If dude's trying to manufacture a case against you the best thing you can do is get your side of the story told. That way there's something to compare his story (which you know he's been telling) to. Discrepancies are what any investigation should center on.

You can't both be telling the truth...make sure you're the one who is.

Get in there and talk to them. It sounds like a "he said - he said" affair so far. IF he is saying that you attacked him and they have only his statement to go on it will only get worse.

Go talk to them and give them the names of the people that were there. IF you did start it and no one was hurt, it can't amount to much. I can't imagine the DA getting excited about this and going to court with it.

And, in the future, don't mess with pussies! They aren't worth it.

This /\ Make sure and go when it is a good time for you. Might be there a while.

I'd say go talk to the police.. just say you've been told that you were looking for.

not showing fear, being nice/professional can go a long way.

Policemen are humans to... they want to be treated just like you do. They are just trying to do their job (I know there are exceptions, but this doesn't seem the case here)

Ya I'm not to worried about it. As every witness is on my side and I did nothing wrong

Umm, seek a lawyer would be good. But, I would wait for the summons in the mail before any action. I would never tell the cops anything without legal consultation, they are not our friends, and what you say can be used against you.

I concur ^^^. If U do get a lawyer make sure he/she is from out of town(way out). Gotta watch out for that "good ole boy network" where cops, judge, lawyers all know each other.
