I have the 88' ranger that used to have the asain carb (as you know you can not adjust the idle speed). I put a Weber on it (which does not have all that electronic bull crap on it). can I remove the Idle speed control module on the passenger side fender well?

does any one not know about this? Well anyways i unplugged it and it runs fine.

I haven't touched mine and it is taking up valuable space on my fender. Someone told me years ago that the wires can be removed but they were going to elaborate as to what could be removed...haven't touched mine in years...

So like I said I removed it and nothing changed. something to consider before taking it off spray all the bolts with WD-40 or equivalant lube. Make sure to loosen all the bolts before taking them out. It is a pain in the rear to get them loose use a 3/8 socket wrench and not a 1/4 like I did.

here are some pics.
