ive got a diagram and its not making too much sense.. its saying a white/pink wire and i dont have that wire on the plug.. i have :
black,
red/white
purple/orange
tan/red
black/pink
pink
white/black
ltblue/black
yellow/black
ltblue/yellow
grey/red

Pink and tan/red should be your wires for neutral for the starter. In case you havent, put in the clutch position sensor on the master cylinder.

Red/white and black are the wires for neutral for the 4x4.

THANK YOU SOO MUCH.. the pink with tan/red wire did it.. starts right up now!!! woo hoo .. ive been messin with this for a few days and its bee driving me insane!!! thanks for the help. its been MUCH appreciated.

You're very welcome! I usually dont come into this forum section haha, you got lucky.

I was originally hoping that just plugging in the manual harness would work, but in Ford's wisdom, they completely repinned the plugs for automatic and manual harnesses which makes you have to reuse the wires in the original harness.

so if i plug in that 00 manual computer and get the key reporgramed iam going to have to get a manual harness?

No.

The PCM connectors are the same on both engines, just that the trans harness plugs are different between them. If you want to use a manual harness, you'll have to replace the entire engine wiring harness. Not worth it!

thats what i assumed... ill just weed out the wires i dont need and get my key reprogramed.an i should be good to go.
