I need some help!

o wow lol same insurance. that sucks :/

also i havent read anyting about bigger throttlebodys but they have got to make some for the dirt track racers that use the 2.3

you could so the engine and trans swap with little problems you have an entire donor truck sitting there. just be mindful the driveshafts are dif lengths and im not sure about the trans support crossmember placement for m50d from automatic (a4ld most likely). i remember reading about that when i was contemplating 8.5 or 10 inch centerforce clutch and ran into the t5 trans swap discussion, they talked about dif crossmember/shifter locations. as for the circle truck believe it or not what ive been reading is all carb stuff, even dual weber single barrels. i have seen a retrofit fit system but its basically individual manifolds with injectors and whatever length velocity stack you want, not an maf system its speed density with a small computer/injector driver. if im not mistaken the circle track racing (as with nascar) require a distributor ignition to be legal. most cars are carb or short fi as the stock electronic ignition/fuel control are not legal in circle track cars, that and from what ive read about the 2.3 from ppl that race them is the secret to the power is in the head porting and getting them enuff air. that guy that suggested the website in earlier posts, i looked into that site to see what he was talking about, basically they are selling units that move the resolution of the mass air flow around which i find interesting but its not a complete fix. by simply moving the stock maf resolution around your richening and leaning the entire fuel curve using the same ignition curves as well, whereas a tuning unit allows you to richen or lean the entire fuel curve based on throttle position and fix any imperfections or lean spots in the map. you can even adjust the timing curve to your needs with a tuner. what i did find interesting is the dual maf thing, basically it allows you to run dual mafs (more air) and still read one reading to the computer and give it the proper reading for both of them as they pull air. this is funny to me because ive noticed on the 300 straight 6 it has a twin throttlebody setup, if you can modify that to fit the 2.3 that would solve any and all air intake issues from the throttlebody upwards. thats a lot of time effort and money tho try something like that but food for thought for somebody willing to try it.
