Sorry guys it has taken me so long to get on. My computer would randomly shut down. I don't know what would happen.
Anyways, I am thinking about changing the slave cylinder this weekend. I was wondering if it absolutley necessary to change the throw out bearing as well or do you think that it would last a couple more months. (I am on a very tight budget!).
Also, is OK if we review the symptoms to make sure that it IS the slave cylinder and not waste my money please...
1. WHEN STOPPED first gear is really hard to shift to.
2. Pressing the clutch makes a little liquidy sound.
3. All other gears are pretty soft to shift after 1st.
4. Reverse makes a grinding sound most of the time it is shifted to.
There are sometimes some exceptions. SOMETIMES first shifts suprisinly smooth and it fell SO GOOD. (It feel like slicing through butter)
I know, if I had the funds I would do a complete transmission "tune up." (clutch, throw out bearing, flywheel, etc).
Before I forget, How long would you say the job would take?
Thanks
