How do you get Tuk Tuks from India to your island?

Freightliner.

And my South/Central American geography is a bit rusty, but I'm pretty sure Honduras isn't an island.:icon_confused:

Police report and veredict was on my side, the tuk tuk drivers fault, so the owner must pay all the damages to the truck.
Now heres the thing, the man is poor, poor and going broke because he still owes the tuk tuk, and is paying the medical expenses of the injured passenger. The quote ended up at 670USD.

I think i did the right thing, i gaved him a hand, im paying the parts and hes paying the labor. In fact he took a quick credit loan (he had the papers ) to bring some cash to pay the damages. He gaved me the money today. 520 USD. Im not gettin a lot of money right now, but ill manage myself to get the parts.
I clearly see he wanted to honor the damages, but he cant. Maybe God will bless me one day for helping this poor man.

The truck is goin in for work tomorrow.

I suspect the laws down there may be different if the driver at fault doesn't pay... In the US you have to sue them, and drag out the legal system... Maybe there is immediate threat of jail-time if you don't pay immediately?

I could sue him but that means more time to get this solved, i would have to accept an arrangement for him to pay in monthly quotes or something, meanwhile the truck is still damaged.
id rather loose a bit and get done with this.
So it's an isthmus. Which for those who don't know, is Latin for "tiny pecker".
Yeah, u wish LOL

Says who? Not saying you are wrong but, with neither of you having insurance, who is dictating who has to pay who? Are there laws? Who mediates to say who has to pay or if anyone has to pay at all?

What if it was your fault and someone died and you were without insurance? Insurance would seem to expensive then.

I have been hit twice in the last 15 years by uninsured drivers, both times their fault and I have had to pay my deductible to get my car fixed and hope my insurance recovers the money so I can get my deductible back. Lucky in my state if you dont pay they revoke your license until you pay or set up payments, and that got my deductibles back.

Ahh, you are in Honduras. As I do not know how things really work there, disregard my post..

Oh hell, Pancho!

I just saw this.

Glad everyone's okay, and that the truck is getting fixed.
