I hate cold weather....

Humans should not live where it gets @ or below 0 "F"ing degrees

It keeps the alligators, poisonous snakes and tourists away.

Haven't seen a mosquito for awhile either. :icon_thumby:

I'm so glad I moved to Texas. 52 today, 64 tomorrow, and 70s on Sun, Mon, and Tue.

My son is still in Ohio. He was doing Door Dash yesterday. Said they were giving drivers an additional $4 bonus on each delivery because it was so cold.

You bunch of candy @$$es. :thefinger:

Display on truck showed -36* this morning. Fired her up, cleaned frost off windows. Walked down to check that the water was still thawed on the cattle waterer.

Unplugged the block heater/battery warmer cord and drove in to work. Plugged truck in at work parking lot, so it will start when it time to leave. It's still dark on both drive in and home.

Just another winter morning in the Great White North.

Im originally from TN, and ill tell ya what, i miss it the older i get.

I went to town around noon, my '150 rolled over pretty slow but it did start.

Yesterday I fired the BII up around noon for the first time in two days, it fired, ran for 2 seconds and died (it does that in the cold), then it clattered and carried on for about 15 seconds while the oil pressure needle slowly made it's way up to about 30.

I think my oil was cold.

I did decide the $80 engine heater was a worthy addition to my virtual Ranger.

Livestock guys have it rough this time of year. My wife thinks we need a cow, I don't want any part of it. Growing up dad was like the dad on a Christmas Story but with the stock tank heater instead of the furnace. :fie:

My power steering pump was still howling when I got back to the house. :bawling:

My 460 hadnt been run in 3 weeks, it took the stock gauge about 15-30 seconds to pop up to normal. It wasnt making any noise though, im thinkin the oil was to thick to go into the sender.

Nah, my lifters were running dry for a bit. When the needle passed 20 PSI that engine got real quiet all of a sudden.

This time of year, alligators are in their cubby holes,:icon_thumby: snakes are so slow right now, if you see one, you have plenty of reaction time.:icon_idea: Too many college kids to tell them from tourist :icon_thumby: :icon_confused:??? Do you even get tourist?:icon_rofl:

I've been using my block heater lately with this negative weather. I didn't even know my truck had one for about 6 months when I had it on the lift and saw the cord. I run my block heater on a timer so it only turns on around 4am and then I normally start the truck around 7:15. starts up great. Hard to believe a little 2wd 3.0 liter has a block heater. I got the truck from an older guy who bought it new so he probably wanted the block heater for easy starts.

I had a 3.0 aerostar (yeah, laugh) for a while that had one. It was a 97. I used it pretty regularly till it shorted out and kept popping breakers. I only had the van about 3 months, kinda got a new found respect for how tough those things are. I beat the living piss out of it on a daily basis and it never gave up. I was trying to kill it so i had an excuse to junk it.

Yes i tried to sell it but something about a grey/green 2 tone aerostar with a broken hatch and rotted to hell scares people away.

I have a heater for my truck, but every time I take the engine out I'm always in a hurry and forget to put it in, but I'm too lazy to do it while the engine is in place.

Maybe I'll put it in the B2 when I rip the front end off, that thing should probably get all new core plugs anyway.
