I BET you that my Valve Covers are Nicer and Cleaner than yous


I didnt use anything to try to fix the heads, the guy i bought it off of did. Now im replacing them, and debating on whether i should rebuild the whole engine...?

Here, I will save you the choices. REBUILD IT.
 
I agree, you have it down that far, I'd rebuild the engine and save the chance, I wouldn't trust those bearings after contamination...

That's nothing. Wait until you start pulling apart GM 60 and 90 degree V6's that have intake gasket leaks that go ignored.

Yep. Flush the oil galleries and do a very thorough coolant flush.

Been there done that.

I would also douche that block out real good while its torn apart.
 
Im Not Rebuilding this Engine, I dont have enough time and Money, Im getting another 2.9 this weekend and swapping it into my Truck, Alot easier than rebuilding!! But thank you guys for the tips!!!
 
I'd take that thing all the way down to the bare block, and send it out for hot tanking. Clean it up, paint it and seal it up until you need it. Then put it together.
