i am new to this

spring perches to me are rear axle. i need to go to bed i have been up since 6:30 this morning its now 2:30 night

You can indeed use the factory coil spacers found as was stated above.....not quite sure what downey is getting at. We're talking spacers for the front axle, to go underneath the coil springs.

okay thanks but it say in tech library in one that you can on only 2wd trucks and on another page it show it on 4wd truck???

you can put them on a 4wd why wouldn't you be able to?

Umm both links go to the same page...and both are being installed in a 4x4....

They work.

Because one post in the tech library says its only for 2wd ranger and the other show them on a 4wd ranger!!!

here the page thats for 2wd ranger
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/factoryspacer.htm
heres the page where he posted it on a 4wd ranger
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/factoryspacer.htm

Where on that page does it say anything about a 2WD Ranger??

The only reference to 2WD is the marking on the spacer itself from the F-150 they came from. You can use them on EITHER a 2WD or 4WD Ranger.

The soft ride coil springs that Downey was talking about anyone know who makes them and whether they make them in a height that will work for my 4" superlift, The ones the kit came with have a stiffer spring rate and I would love to soften the ride up!

Ok, that one is wrong. I will forward it to Jim for him to fix :icon_thumby:
can we post up what was posted in this thread to post up in the tech library to help out with people questions about lvling kits???

oh 94bob try rough country coils i heard they where softer but i am not sure!!!

The soft ride coils Downey was talking about, does anyone know who makes them and whether they make them in a height that would replace my 4" SL coils. The SL coils have a larger spring rate and I would like to soften up the ride!

Rough Country springs are stiffer. SkyJacker offers the softride coils, and yes they have a 4" variety. Since they're softer they'll be a little shorter though since you have a supercab.

So how much of a difference in spring rate is there between my SL coils and the SJ softride coils?

the best thing if you want real info is to call the company them selves ask them for each coil and se which number is the lowest and that will be you coil
