well i now have a plan for another trail rig hahahaha , i currently have the axles out of a 95 Full Size Bronco in my back yard. And my buddy Mike is selling his tired as all hell 94 Ranger Reg Cab Short bed. And i just met a kid tonight ( have met him before ) that turns out to have access to a supply of Cummins 4BT's , can anyone think of my next project ????????? :stirthepot: :stirthepot: :stirthepot:

Make it So!

i will start on it once i get my 2000 done , and i figure if i help the kid swap a 4BT into his 2002 Ranger , he can get me a good deal on one that may need a rebuild , so i can get it cheap , it will definantly be fun if i do it

Honda Civic with a fart can?

A 4BT ranger would be BA... nothing like getting 25mpg in a rock crawler..

Awesome. I love diesels. Even better if it's in a Ranger.

Yay and the Mike said "What the hell are you waiting on?"

:D

the Dan says "I am waiting for that ever elusive thing known as money"

You lucky bastard...

every once in a while i get a bit of luck

My idea is going to be as follows
-94 Ranger SWB Cab and Frame
-95 Bronco Axles D44 TTB and 8.8 31 Spline loaded with either 4.10 or 4.56 gear and lockers
-Cummins 4BT engine
-torn between a 46RE or a NV3500
-I do not know what to use for a Transfer Case
-6 inch Lift ( all spring in the rear , no blocks )
-35x12.50R15's on 15x10 Black Wagon Wheels
-Olive Drab Green Paint
-Custom Front and Rear Bumpers
-Winch
-Any other necessary Off-Road Accessories

this project is going to be a long time in the making

the Arthur is wondering why the Mike is referring to himself in the 3rd person:thefinger:

Because the Mike can and you all damn well better enjoy it:icon_rofl:

Sounds like it will be an awesome project once time and money allow.

might want to shy away from too low of a final drive, you are running a diesel after all, does you no good if you top out at 40mph

also, stay way from the NV3500, you might think they are good, and people swear by them, but i've blown up six of them, on the street.

and no, it's not my driving, i managed to keep an M5OD alive longer than three of those transmissions lasted.

yea . once i get the build started i will have quite a few questions , i still have yet to decide on a final gear ratio , i know my F-350 with the 7.3 has 4.10's , but that is a totally different animal

what would you suggest for a trans ? i was thinking NV4500 is a little to hard to fitin a ranger , does anyone make adaoter plates for them , i was thinking eiter a 5 speed or a 46RH that would be built by me
