Wow!! I was just thinking...this 29th is 7 years ago Katrina hit the Mississippi-Louisiana border. Weird feeling, Eh?? Stay safe, Bro!!!

Yeah DG...stay safe...

Hopefully the old windbag will wear itself out over the gulf...haven't checked the weather outside of my own little backwoods lately but I did notice some warnings while skimming the page...

I thought hurricane season was over...

good luck DG, make sure you stock up on ammo. my bro lives down there, so i hope yall dont get it too bad.

speaking of anniversaries, today is the 1 year anniversary of Irene coming through NC

you can come up Missouri, for a bit, DG but you have to be out before Nov. so i has a place to store baby stuff.....i had equivalent of cat 4, typhoons hit when i lived on Okinawa, as a teenager. of course the bases were layed out to withstand such storms. when we liven in Florida we never got hit with worse then category 1 winds.
all i remember of hurricanes and typhoons was the wind rain, and boredom because we lost power every time.

In all seriousness DG, I'm in Austin, TX, so if you need a place to hold up if hits the fan, let me know.

Most of the country needs rain but no way what them storms bring. Good luck and hang tight.
Dave

DG, I got a camper up here just South of Memphis if something goes down and you need a place. it just sits in our driveway not being used...

DG, i'm on the westbank of New Orleans. I'm staying for the storm. Let me know if you need help with anything! Stay safe and dry!

Hey DG !! Hope things go smoothly for you & family-

Say a prayer for SmokeEater......he's staying in the middle of it.....

my relatives stayed in New Orleans too....

but me.......nope......I'm now 60 miles north & 55 feet above sea level....

Thanks DG. Still here on the westbank. Lost power around 6PM. Got the generator hooked up. Everything working but the central AC. A LOT of wind so far. Not much rain. But looks like we'll have to deal with this for another 24 hours or so.
