Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
I'm no 4wd expert ( I know, hard to believe ), but from what I've learned here, is that the front gears have to match the rear gears to keep things from binding up and/or breaking.

Can you guys explain what I'm seeing here and how it works. I saw this on DeathWish S2 : Mud Buggy Adventures. ( Prime )

The simplest answer would be to match the differential gears to the tire size at each end so everything evens out. So lower gears in the rear axle with the larger tires, vice versa up front.

Miss matched tire sizes require miss matched gear sets.

You probably wouldn't want to drive it to town... but to sling mud/sand it works.

This^^^. As long as it is geared so both tires travel the same distance per revolution of the driveshaft, you are good.

Kinda what I thought, but wanted to ask the experts.

Is there a season 2 of that out now? I watched it last winter.. I thought the whole southern mud buggy episode was in the first season

Thats a bad ass marquis
You might like Season 2 of this show. Hell, you might like the first season. Just a crew and a couple of cameras, no big production team getting false reactions and retakes. Season 2 starts with cars like that Marquis going through trails. One guy has a 4 door Buick sitting on a F-350 chassis. They also widened a old Hi-Lux 9" and put a Ford 7.3L diesel in that little truck.

I started S2 last night. IDK, I've been binge watching this show.

They probably put the Marquis on a tractor setup. It has a nice big diesel engine where the center console should be...

I'd take it to the mud bogs and run it.

Are they from FL?
