I just read the Ontario thread and have been watching the cable-news all day...

Hope & pray that you guys get to some high ground before all the roads go under!!!

Nuckin futs over here bro. NYC has 80 mph winds. Snapped a crane right in have and is hanging over 57th street right now. Estimated the gust at 106 mph to break it.

I'm in PA and just STARTING to see some crazy shit.

Pff, I've sneezed and caused worse things that what I'm seeing outside right now.

:icon_rofl: good....let's keep it that way!

I'm sure it will get worse before it is over, but so far I haven't seen so much as a branch down. Just all the leaves.

I think the northern storms get more hype than the southern ones because we don't get them much here. Kinda like the other year when they got 6" of snow in Texas and it was a top news story for a week, but when we get 3 feet over night in NEPA we only get a 5 minute blurb on the evening weather report.

We are getting wind warnings upgraded to gusts of 100 km/hr...right now they are around 25 km/hr and wet, cold rain with some possible sleet or snow...

PA is in for a pounding from what I just read...doesn't look good for anything in between NJ and PA either...

Prayers for safety to all~

That's about what I gathered from the GMA news this morning. They showed the storm track about stopping in the middle of PA for a day. Keeps looking like a real nasty one, keep your heads down and stay safe!

I think Brinker might be out of power already.

Just wait... Its coming your way. Its hitting here pretty good right now. Cables out, powers on and off, 2 trees down. Fire trucks have rolled at least 6 times in the past hour. The rain isnt bad, just constant.

This the first time ive had to use my iphone to go online.

I know it's coming. It just isn't here yet.

It hasn't stopped raining since saturday here, I was at the Browns game yesterday, boy was that miserable, at least they won!

The worst thing that has happened in this storm?

The Power is out at the local Walmart Supercenter.

Why is this a bad thing? when the power goes out at that store they chuck all the
Ice Cream. why is that a horrible thing? because when THAt happens they often
GIVE AWAY Ice Cream, and I MISSED IT!

I'm 100miles from the ocean 80odd miles from Philly, 1100ft above sea level and Right on 500feet above the nearest river (The Lehigh)

It absolutely cracks me up when some telemarketer calls trying to sell me flood insurance.
IF I got flooded here I don't have the foggiest idea who I'd collect from, because for me to flood would require another 800+feet of water AFTER both polar caps melted.

getting two feet of wet snow? I'd be stuck at home until it melted.
But at this time of year it WILL all melt.

So to me the storm news is a whole lot of alarmist hype.

Evacuate? I already did it 17years ago when I moved HERE.

A man after my own heart. Get the hell away from civilization and enjoy life. Well I don't know what to think about the storm. Son says it's bad and daughter says its nothing at all. So getting conflicting reports from them. But they may be a bit south of it all.
