how to get 200mpg in your ranger/broncoII

The specs I have say that the Fuel Flow Signal is a pulse with a range of 0-200 Hz, and a typical reading of 8 Hz at idle. The ECU "counts" how much fuel is flowing to the cylinders (based on RPM, Injector Size, and the number of times the injectors opens), determines a fuel flow rate, and converts that to the Hz signal.

After checking with the frequency counter and getting nothing, I just now connected my oscilloscope to ecm pin 34 on my 88 B2 and was unable to see pulses at any frequency. I could see some noise down in the millivolt range but that is all. BTW mine has all the holes in the connector already drilled out. It would be interesting to see the signal on a car with a functional Tripminder or whatever it is called.
