I have a bent axle shaft and already have the replacement. It looks like it'll be a fairly straight forward job, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything.

Does anyone have any insite, link to specific directions, do's/dont's?

Thanks,
Nathan

I'm assumin your talkin the rear end?

Remove the cover, use a 5/16" 6 point boxend wrench or socket to remove the shaft bolt, be VERY CAREFUL not to round it off, as the are a MF to get out after that. Then get a magnet, push the axle inward, & use the magnet to get the C-clip.....then the axle will pull out, while your in there, might as well put in a NEW axle seal, cause SAH if you don't, the seal will leak, and then ya gotta do it all over again.

on the cross pin retaining bolt/pin a little heat (and I mean a lilttle will help, I use a small harbor freight butane torch) the carrier just behind the bolt head and it will save you some headache and bolt head rounding... been there, done that
