Hello guys,

I am a proud owner of a 07 FX-4 Level 2 with the 4.0 & 5R55E (I believe) and yes it is a pain to always have to punch it to get her back & going again after going through the many round-abouts around here. If only I could adjust the down shift point I believe it would be 3 or 4th gear. Seems to be getting back up to speed from 30mph. I just don't want to have to stomp on the gas pedal so much. Just 200 or 300 rpm difference. How can this be done? With what level of OBD interface do I need to have? There are no codes currently & everything works as it should. I realize that this is a common issue. 150,00 miles so far with everything good so far.

Thanks in advance for your expert opinion!

I am not aware of a way to do that. The SCT tuning software (Pro Racer) that I have does not have any transmission controls unlocked, so I could not make any changes to shift points, tc lock / unlock rules, shift pressures, or anything.

Might try Forscan. I don’t know if it can do that or not.

Thanks much for the reply. I remember reading hear about "somebody" doing exactly what I'm discussing. Well there is a whole bunch of good info passing around here & I'm always glad to help out & be helped out.

Keep them Rangers rollin rollin! I'll look into the "forscan" option and report back. Yutahay.
