I am curious as to how rare this driveshaft is for a BII. I have only seen the double cardon on 1 end of the BII drivehshafts.

How much would it be worth? I don't want to sell it because it might go into my BII, I am just curious.

I'm suspecting it's not a stock driveshaft. Probably a custom job to replace a shaft.

Well, it would not likely be worth much because obviously its not that common. It would how ever be a good shaft to shorten for use behind a doubler.

those came stock on certain B2's with certain transmissions.......the local u-pull it has a few of them that style

cool. I am going to put new u-joints in it and run it on my BII when I do the manual transmission swap. I figure it will allow for more flex.

The reason i ask how rare is because I haven't been able to find them in any parts books. I have only been able to find them with the double cardon on 1 end.

thinking about it now i think the ones i seen at the yard were just the double card on one end and that end was at the diff.

MAN! I've been looking for a shaft like that and kept getting told that no-one ever made one like that. I'm ready to hack 2 CV shafts up and just run square tube for the front.

*edit, never mind Cheap thrill, posted just after you did.

i might go back to that yard on sunday, maybe i'll take a closer look and snap a pic

Could you PM me where they are at if there is one? Because that would immensely simplify things.

There's no need for a shaft like that. There's no advantage to it.

The double cardan is for extreme angles. You put it on one end of a driveshaft and each joint splits the angle and makes a constant velocity type of joint. The other end only needs a single u-joint--the other end isn't set up to take any angle except in motion.

Its not worth anything because it can't be original and I could get one made tomorrow if I wanted it.

and that particular unit will not have as good a range as a single 1310/1310 before exploding.

its ghey.

for the second time today:taunt:

It's useless...

Well after my drivetrain swap and the 6" lift, my pinion angles are almost completely shot, short of either cutting and turning the TTB (a real pain) or messing with the height of the transmission mount (also a real pain) I feel I don't have much of an option. Dual double cardans to me it seems like the easiest one.
