How much fuel does idleing use?

Ignorance is not having the specific knowledge requested, so being ignorant is NOT an insult if you never had the knowledge

Stupid is not being able to apply the knowledge you do have

An intellectual has knowledge in specific areas, and they are usually STUPID, because they can not apply that knowledge outside its framework

Smart is not book learning, never has been, smart is being able to apply the knowledge you have to solve new problems in new situations, and then learn from that to apply it to the next new thing

"Think outside the BOX" is often used, the BOX is what you already know, an intellectual is trapped inside their BOX
A smart person can take whats inside their BOX and apply it to something new that's outside their BOX, making their BOX bigger :)
Stop make excuses for them.... 😆

We had many Dartmouth people as customers since the college was less than 5 miles from the dealership, one professor was a 6' tall Chinese guy whose name was Zhong but he pronounced it George. He wasn't a bad guy but he's the textbook skinflint, he's too tight fisted to be a Yankee. Another one was a German or Austrian and he was always truing to fix his own Explorer and screwing it up, then he'd want us to straighten it out- at no charge, of course. A long time customer was the dean of the Tuck school of business, he had a cherry 56 Fairlane and a F250 with a 8' Fisher plow to do his 1/2 mile long driveway. He was always friendly, talked to us at the shop as if we were people, and paid his bill without bitching. His wife and daughter were both beautiful but the daughter could get snippy and make grown men cower. One day he told me people used to go to college because they wanted to get an education, now they go because they want to get a job. Apparently, working is considered beneath the dignity of a Dartmouth grad. He wasn't my buddy, he was slumming.

We did a lot on Dartmouth College vehicles, too, cars, trucks, a mobile clinic in a bus body, huge tow behind generators, anything else they had. For years they had a local tire store "fix" stuff and then they'd bring it to us and pay to straighten it out, I thought they had someone in purchasing who was getting a kickback from the tire shop. One time a young girl pulled up behind the shop in a car with no license plates. She got out wearing just what looked like a tall man's white shirt and walked into the shop-with the sun behind her. Production stopped and I had my fingers crossed she wouldn't step on anything sharp in her bare feet. She wanted a ride back to campus.
