2.3L ('02-'11) How much does the correct coolant matter?

Aluminum, plastic, cast iron, rubber and maybe brass comprise all cooling systems. Most things run around 200*. I don't see why one automaker requires so many flavors.

At one point, when i was still in it full time i had to stock 5 different coolant types to cover fords
