how many spray cans?

How many cans of rustolam would it take to do my 97, and how many cans of clear?
Allso kinda stupid but im going with orange, I should't have to primer the red but i have green doors-etc would I have to primer this stuff as well?

Spray can? Ya... I was gonna paint my truck myself and get a nice air compressor. Then I realized to feed the gun I wanted correctly... I'd have to buy a 600 dollar compressor like real pros have. To get above the 6 cfm barrier.
Can... For an idea, one can did my bumper and grille. Only 1 layer though. I would suggest, maybe 10 for a whole truck for each layer. I would only spray can my bumpers and grille. But that's just me. My wife actually said I need a paint job... I was like OMG really?

Someone once told me that if I ever once learned to shoot and adjust a spray rig I would never touch a spray can again.

They were right...

You can get a touch up gun to get you started at anyautoparts (or whatever store you like, in so many words)

You can adjust how wide you spray, how thin the paint is compared to the airflow, you can even dust off the surface first with straight airflow.......
(not to mention flatten out and feather any runs - but you ain't supposed to have to)

Should be able to rent an HVLP set up for half a day. Hell back in the day I painted an Olds 442 with a vacume cleaner and it was a sweet shiney midnight blue metallic.

goin to day to look at some CHEAP set ups. Im thinkin a harbor freight 20 gun(have heard some good-ish things about them) and a gallon of tractor paint. Reson i was goin to go spray bomb is thought it would be cheaper but by 10 bucks or so. lets see how this turns out.
