How many miles on your 4.0?

242,000 and going strong. 18-19 mpg. Standard maintenace. Valvoline max life every 3-5k.

1992 4.0 with 95,000 no problems. The truck only sees service in bad weather.

I have only had one 4.0L with more miles than yours and it was a 1991 Exploder that had about 270,000 when I sold it, and it still ran great, I sold it about 3 years ago and I saw it drive through town a couple of weeks ago, so the truck is still going anyways, I have no clue if it is still the same motor, the ranger with a 4.0L I am driving now has about 157,000

I have a 2000 4.0 with 115K and has had a tranny rebuild around 85K already, but she has been in storage for the last 4 years while I was overseas. Hoping to make it home for christmas to pick her up and bring her to NY from MN now that I am back in tha states again!

97 4.0 with 308k kms still runs fantastic and takes whatever i can throw at it

i just recently sold my 94 ranger extended cab 2wd with a 4.0 L to a buddy of mine for 300.oo the truck had 752000 kms on the motor, the tranny was replaced at 350000 kms due to harsh shift , tough little truck i got it when i was 16 and bagged on it quite a bit until i was 20 then settled down and just used it for winter driving , wish i still had it she was pretty reliable think the only thing i did to the motor was put new gaskets on the valve covers lol

mine is a '97 with 164000 and I drive 140 miles a day

156,xxx and shes focked. but she keeps on goin with help from every oil additve on the planet lol only 9mpg :(

I have 210,000 on my 97 Ranger 4x4. Regular oil changes every 5K to 7K miles. New shocks are needed, little rough ride. KNOCK ON WOOD... It has been a great truck!!! :icon_cheers:
