How many miles on your 4.0?

My 2000 Ranger has 98,000, but the engine was recently replaced due a mechanic that dropped a stud bolt into a cylinder while replacing my intake manifold.:icon_rofl: $5000 job for $300. Cant beat that!!:icon_thumby:

263k now, lifters still a knockin away

'94 expo 245k
'00 ranger xlt 4x4 90k

198,221 on my '96 Mazda B4000 and still going strong.

Slight weeping from front main seal. Also slight weep from where the oil filter bracket bolts on the block. However I never have to add oil between oil changes (neither burns or leaks out enough). Keeps everything nice and lightly coated with oil to ward off rust :) [sarcasm im in CA]

Original alternator, and tranny (surprisingly and it shows no sign of quitting).

New waterpump, radiator, thermostat and fan clutch.

Ever so slight ticking noise at idle after warm up.

I run valvoline full synthetic and FRAM 10k filters.

Gets and oil change/tire rotation religiously aat 5000k (its a freeway queen)

Still ticking away

224,000 on 1992, and according to a couple of mechanics that looked at it, still has better compression than even some of the newer cars out there. Truck overall needs some tlc, and am looking at different Ranger options. But it's been a great engine, no major problems! Love my Rangers that I've owned.
