I wanna run 33's and i have a 4 inch suspension lift but i wont be able to run them unless i lift it alittle more. I was think about a bodylift but i dont know how hard it would be and what I would need to do it. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you do the suspension lift yourself? If yes, then the body lift should be a piece of cake.

You just have to remove the old bushings/bolts, add spacer blocks, and add new, longer bolts... Maybe have to replace the old bushings too, the stock rubber ones are usually garbage on a 20-year old truck...

A steering column extension may be required, depending on how big you lift, and what you truck has. (Some people report doing 3" without an extension, others have not been able to do 2" without one.)

Easier then a suspension lift. It can be done in a day if all goes well. Took me awhile due to rust and breaking things but its not hard at all...just basic tools really. Long bar if things are seized. I needed a steering extension for the record

Do a search on bl in the search area, Bro!! Lots of topics on it. Very easy with two people doing it.

Yes I didand i might add it sucked.(first lift job) but i amhappy with how it came out.Body bushings? wouldnt that be what i'm already replacing? And if I need one where would I get one? I was thinkin probly a 3" because i will have room in the engine bay for a v8 swap:icon_thumby:

no, youll be adding blocks between the body and the stock bushings. then would be a good time to replace the bushings, i replaced the bushings with a body lift. i have a 3" body lift and no extensions what so ever, just longer bolts. i dont it myself in a couple hours but i done a few before, not really much to it.

thanks dude. and yeah i think my most valuable tool, was a 3 foot pipe that i used for a cheater. youll also have to cut and drill the rivet on the bracket for the parking brake so you can move it up with the lift. otherwise itll put a wierd angle and stress on the cable.

OKay thanks guys.I feel pretty confident now.:icon_cheers:

It's a couple bucks cheaper at lmc... or does the duff one come with everything?

the lmc is everything you need just buy a few washers to put on the bottom of the bushings.. with s&h, i think my total was like $83.
