How do I tell my parental units?

well the most ive had at once was 3, have had like 7 cars total. i was fixing one and using parts from others. as long as i stayed in school my dad said he didnt care, he even gave me most of the money i needed. i had just turned 15 when i got my first car, and paid for half of it. which was like 700 for me. im 18 now and im down to 2, 05 ranger and MINI

well it is almost christmas, and it is the season for giving.... maybe suggest it and say you'll pay them back half of it the asking price?

One thing is having somewhere to park them without the city bitching at you every five minutes. peeing off the neighbors is also not a good thing. Other than that I don't see a problem. That's from the parental point of view by the way.

Heh, I have 2, and only one is at my parents house, the other is with me at school and they are still whining about it, but they can't make me get rid of my other car without a great reason, because its been in the family for 3 generations now. My grandparents bought it in 82, gave it to my uncle, who gave it to me when the ranger was broken down.

Try making a deal with them. That's what end up having to do with any of my trucks.

i got 4 rite now but i worked for all of them i was in one of yhose families that the older sibling gets everything and then i get life lessons but it is worth buying them ureself cause then they cant take them from you

Its not really about the money as much, I mean I dont have a job right now but that is something I can pay them back later, the space is more of an issue, where do I put it?

And right now I can tell you my dad will be like "no, you already have a truck to work on"

in the back yard thats wat i did pulled it up around the house

pull it apart like and place it on your room like a race car bed.

All I gotta say is that's it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. 'Numsayin?

Most fathers are easy to convince to buy something like that so long as they know how to turn a wrench. My bother in law is an Ivy leager. He can't even turn in a light bulb, so I am sure his kids will all be driving hondas when they reach legal age. The bigest problem is convincing mom. My mother was easy cause she turned wrenches when she was younger and used to drive a dirt track 54 ford. Can't believe my dad let her go. But when your family is into cars they are all around your home. My wife hates my ranger and thinks it is unsafe.

Looks like a good deal but beware of a vehicle that only has pictures taken of it at night.

When I got my first BII (my ranger was my first truck), I knew I couldn't just bring it home. Not only was parking limited, but my parental units would blow a head gasket. So I got a family friend to store it for me (he has over 100 Ford trucks), and would go over there to work on it. Being a dumb kid, I thought my parents wouldn't catch on... they did, right about the same time some old lady decided to broadside my Ranger. So since I was in college and needed transportation, the BII was it. Cheaper than having a rental car, although I was working on it at least once a week to keep 'er goin, lol. That ate a couple valves just before I got my Ranger back from the shop so I convinced my parents it wasn't worth selling cuz I wouldn't get anything for it. So it went back over the family friend's place an sat.

Then I picked up another BII and towed it over there. Then I fixed up that one an brought it home when we moved. Then I bought a parts BII and towed it up to the friend's. Then brought my old BII home to work on. Then I got a parts Ranger. Then I got my F-150.

And now, my crowning achievement... I got dad started on lawn tractors and finally convinced him to take a leap of faith....

I'm so proud of him now....

He bought a Ranger that doesn't run after all these years of harassing me....

Mom has been less than excited, lol.
